E-Signing: Mobile Notary Services for Colorado
Real estate closings are going paperless. That is not a prediction -- it's a reality. Borrowers can sign their loan documents electronically with the click of a mouse.
An eSign closing can take place wherever there is internet access. Some of the places in which I have conducted eSign closings have been:
Although there really is no limit to the possibilities.
As long as the third party closer has a laptop computer, a wireless modem, and internet access, an eSigning can be done anywhere. ... |

Borrower's Copies
A paperless closing also means paperless borrower's copies. Some of the closing documents are signed on paper with a wet signature. For these documents, the borrower will receive the traditional paper copies of the documents.
However, once all of the digital documents have been signed with an electronic signature and the closing is completed, the borrowers have a choice of how they can receive their electronically signed loan documents:
Store the documents to the computer
Receive the documents on CD-ROM
Paper copies of the documents
I have had eSign closings in which each of the methods have been used.
The majority of the borrowers have chosen to receive their copies of the digital documents on CD-ROM. (I provide the disc.)
One option that a borrower chose was to transfer the files from my laptop to their computer by way of a USB drive. The eSigning was in the borrower's office at their place of work.
Paper copies of the loan documents can be printed as well.
If the borrower has a memory card, and would like to store their documents to it, I have a USB adapter for memory cards.

Equipment for eSignings:
(I have had very good results with this setup and have never had to resort to using the backup copies of the loan documents. On just one occasion was it not possible to do the eSigning at the borrower's home. They lived in a very remote location of Colorado with no internet access. The problem was solved by meeting at a restaurant in Canon City.)
